Gold Platinum Galaxy Note 5 now available at T-Mobile

The Galaxy Note 5 is the best smartphone on the market for 2015, but Samsung, as is the case with quite a few manufacturers, didn’t offer the Gold Platinum version when the company launched the device in mid-August. After three months, Samsung has finally secured the Gold Platinum version for US carrier T-Mobile.

The new Gold Platinum Galaxy Note 5 gives something of a shimmer that changes in the light as light reflects on the device, making one of the hottest phones of the year even more impressive. The device itself is virtually unchanged, so your Gold Platinum Galaxy Note 5 will stick rock a 5.7-inch, Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a 2,560 x 1,440p screen resolution, Samsung’s homegrown, octa-core, Exynos 7420 processor, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and 32GB/64GB of storage with a 3,000mAh battery. As for the Note 5’s impressive photography, Samsung has implemented a 5MP front camera and a 16MP back camera, both with f/1.9 camera apertures, with Samsung’s cameras considered to be the cream of the crop when it comes to globally available handsets this year; Sony’s Xperia Z5 wins the day in photography and videography, but the handset isn’t available in the US.

The Galaxy Note 5 (yes, even the Gold Platinum version) will set you back the same price as the White Pearl and Black Sapphire models at T-Mobile: $699.99 for the 32GB model, or $29.17 per month for 24 monthly installments. T-Mobile is the only carrier selling the Gold Platinum model, so you’ll have to make do with Magenta if you want this badly enough. Regardless of the particular color, the Galaxy Note 5 is both a beauty and a beast.
