Google Cardboard teaser given by Google UK

Google has plans to bring Daydream VR, its new virtual reality platform, to fruition, but that doesn’t mean the search engine giant plans to leave Google Cardboard behind. Mountain View designed Google Cardboard as an easy, affordable consumer option for many who refuse to spend a few hundred dollars on a premium VR headset and just want the bare experience that’s common to nearly any consumer who engages in VR. Daydream looks to be something entirely different, designed for those who don’t mind spending the best to get the best (or so Google hopes).

Well, Google UK took to Twitter just yesterday with a Google Cardboard teaser:

We really had no idea at the time what this meant, but a perusal around the Google UK Twitter account turned up some interesting news about Google Cardboard and the interesting date of events (from September 29th through October 1st). “Ahh @googleuk have teamed up with @AbbeyRoad Studios to give us the virtual tour we’ve always dreamed of. So exciting,” with a few emoji to celebrate the moment, Tallia Storm tweeted.

There are pictures of her with the Google Cardboard VR headset on, and the “Inside Abbey Road” box in her hand. The next shows that Abbey Road Studios is on the box, meaning that the company is behind the new Google Cardboard VR surprise for UK customers. It’s likely the case that you can download the Cardboard app and access it, though we don’t know all the details.

Google Cardboard has a price tag between $15 and $35, depending on where you shop, and Google has a number of experiences at YouTube that are Google Cardboard-dependent.

In any case, we’ll find out more info soon enough. Have you discovered what Google UK is talking about? If you live in the UK and can shed any light on the event, feel free to write in and let us know. As always, we appreciate your comments.
