How to Turn Siri On or Off on iPhone and iPad

Siri is Apple’s voice command assistant for its iPhones and iPads. While “she” or “he” (depending upon your preferred gender) is there to assist you, Siri is also a fun assistant that can tell jokes and short, witty sayings that can keep you entertained for hours. If you set up your iPhone or iPad and decide afterwards that you want to have Siri available, there is a way to turn Siri on. The reason why you’d need to use this tutorial is that you didn’t activate Siri at the setup on your iDevice. You can learn how to turn Siri on or off on iPhone and iPad with little trouble at all.

You need to visit your settings, then select “Siri,” and turn the first toggle until you see the green color appear on the left side of the button (which indicates that Siri is turned on). Next, you can learn how to turn Siri on by testing out Siri on the main screen. Press the home button to go back out to the main screen, then press the home button to see if Siri appears. If you hear a sound, then see some prompts on the display, Siri is active.

You can learn how to turn Siri on or off on iPhone and iPad with the same controls above for deactivating Siri that you’ve used to activate her. If you’ve been relying on Siri but don’t want to anymore because Siri pops up at the most chaotic or random times, then you can follow the same instructions above to get rid of Siri. Go back out to the main screen, then press the home button to see if Siri responds. If there is no answer, then you’ve learned successfully how to turn Siri on or off on iPhone and iPad.

Do you use Siri on a regular basis? Are you someone who didn’t turn Siri on at first and regretted it afterwards? We’d love to hear from you.
