Huawei Nexus 6P and LG Nexus 5X boxes leak, official 5X photo published

The names for the LG Nexus 2015 and the Huawei Nexus leaked some time ago to a tech site, but there was nothing official at the time. Even in leaked specifications, no name was given. The Huawei Nexus, for example, was referred to as the Huawei Angler – which still wasn’t the official name of the device. The “angler” is a fish, and Google is known for codenaming devices after fish while keeping the device names hidden.

Well, you won’t be surprised then to discover that official retail packaging for both the LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P have leaked. The packaging shows the names “5X” and “6P,” with each box having a huge letter to mark the name of the device. The Nexus 5X has a large “X” on the device, and the Nexus 6P has a huge “P” on the device. The boxes are relatively gray, with the only color being the “X” and the “P” on the respective boxes.

Apart from the nomenclature, which is now more than just a rumor, the LG Nexus 5X has officially been leaked in an official photo. We’re not surprised to see it leak, but we’ll place it alongside of the earlier photo to show you the reliability of the rumors. The first photo is the rumored photo shown earlier, the last photo is the official one.

All in all, the rumors have been right all along, but there are still some holes that haven’t been patched up. One of the holes that remains hidden, even until now, concerns the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X pricing. The Huawei Nexus 6P is Google’s high-end device, but Google has remained silent on pricing for it. As for the Nexus 5X, we continue to hear the same rumor we’ve heard before, but we don’t have any information at the time to confirm it. Well, we’re sure a few more leaks will provide answers to the questions before the big unveil. Take a look at the official packaging below.
