Kangaroo unveils one of the most portable desktops with lots of ports

Initially, we covered one of the most portable laptops, and it is time to do the same for the desktop. The concept of a portable desktop is relatively new. Kangaroo as a company only unveiled their first model last October. The company has now launched their second model – Kangaroo Pro. It is still relatively portable though it has more ports that the initial model.

The ability to have more port in a mobile desktop is what makes this model quite fascinating. Usually, portable desktops rely on Bluetooth that eliminates the need for ports the likes of keyboards, USB, microUSB, audio jack, and Ethernet. Without these ports, it is possible to achieve a portable size. Kangaroo, on the other hand, has maintained portability while including all of the stated ports except Ethernet. For most people, this is a big plus since they don’t have wireless peripherals packed up in their closets.

Kangaroo Pro comes with a 2GB RAM and a 32GB internal storage space. It runs on 1.44 GHz Intel Atom™ x5-Z8500 (Turbo Boost up to 2.24 GHz). It has been fitted with Intel HD Graphics Gen8 (Up to 600Mhz). Connects using Wi-Fi 802.11 A/C (Dual Band) or Bluetooth 4.0. It has a fingerprint reader for security purposes and its battery last for approximately 4 hours. The internal storage might seem limited, though, with the presence of cheap cloud storage, this should not be a problem. If the specs are not satisfactory, you can add $70 and get the developer edition that comes without any operating system, a 4GB RAM, and More Internal storage.

The desktop can come in handy for business people who need to change from dragging USB stick to a presentation. It can also act as a game emulation box though it can only manage light games. It can also serve as an on-the-go personal PC, a mini home server or even an enthusiast device. The desktop runs well with smart TVs. With just one turning HDMI output, it can convert into a full Windows 10 computer.
