Motorola Moto X 3rd generation specifications leaked

With Samsung, LG and several other smartphone manufacturing companies having revealed their flagship offerings for the year, it is time that Motorola started gearing up to release a high-end handset of its own. According to a source, Moto X 3^rd generation is not going to be incorporated with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810, due to overheating issues. Instead, it is going to follow the same path as LG did for its G4 and feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 SoC.

While smartphone users will experience slightly less scores in benchmarking applications due to the absence of two Cortex-A57 cores, their regular gaming, and heavy smartphone usage will most likely not be seeing a change in performance. Additionally, the Snapdragon 808 will be able to provide additional battery life to users since two less processing cores from one of the most power hungry CPUs will not be present.

Moving on, Moto X 3^rd generation is also expected to house 4 GB of RAM, since there are very few smartphones that have been assimilated with the aforementioned amount. Due to a presence of a hexa-core chipset, Motorola is rumored to incorporate a 3,280 mAh battery inside its upcoming flagship smartphone. The company is expected to maintain its mindset on not presenting a microSD slot in the upcoming handset so Moto X 3^rd generation will be available to purchase in the 32 and 64 GB capacity variants.

Since the smartphone will bear the Motorola’s brand name, potential buyers can rest assured that Moto X 3^rd generation will be running Google’s Lollipop 5.1.1 update. As for the camera sensors, the device will feature a 16 MP rear camera, coupled with a 5 MP one placed at the front side of the device. The release date of the smartphone has not been specified by the source, but it is possible that Motorola maintains the same period that the firm did for its Moto X 2^nd generation.
