Stop updates on Mac

First, to stop updates on Mac, you’ll need to click the word “details” in the gray popup box. Usually, you’ve selected the “restart” button, which Apple wants you to do but won’t help you continue about your way. After pressing “details,” you’ll be brought to the page that explains what the update is all about. The final step to stop updates on Mac is to select the red “x” box in the detail popup to click out of the details. At this point, you’ll delay the update for another time. Remember, you’re not stopping the update in the sense of killing it; you’re simply delaying the update until an opportune time.
