Wege zur Behebung des Problems "Google Play Store bleibt beim Warten auf den Download hängen

When you want to download, install and launch an app on your Android device, the usual place to go is Google Play Store. It is considered as the marketplace for all apps. Unfortunately, there are some times wherein some apps fail to install or update and you would sometimes get a waiting for download error. Not only that you could also get stuck on it as well. Do not worry, as through this article, we shall help you solve this download issue.

Here are some of the ways you could solve download pending or unable to download from Play Store issue.

1. Restart Phone- as most of problems usually get solved by restarting your device, this issue is not an exception. Try to restart your phone without changing any of your settings and check if the problem has been solved.

2. Check your internet connectivity- there are times when your data connection is not working. Try to connect to your WiFi and double check if your WiFi is working.

3. Check if your phone has available storage- Another possible reason why you cannot download is because you do not have sufficient space on your device. To check all you need to do is go to Setting and select storage. You will see how much storage is still available. If you do not have enough space, you will need to delete and/or free some space on your phone or you could use an SD card for additional space.

4. Check date and time of your phone- there are times when your phone is sporting incorrect date and time which results to Google not being able to download apps properly. To fix this, all you need to do is follow the steps below:

• Go to your phone’s settings
• Go to System
• Select Date and Time
• Enable the toggle next to Automatic date and time.
• If it is already enabled, turn it off and on again
• Restart your phone and try to download apps from Play Store again.

5. Check app download preference- Play Store allows you to select the type of network whenever you download your apps. You could either use WiFi only or any network and even ask you every time you download. These settings sometimes could be the reason why downloading could be pending or having some downloading issues. To solve this issue, all you need to do is:

• Open your Play Store
• Tap on three bar icon on top
• Tap settings
• Select App download preference
• Select over any network

6. Disable auto updates – there are times when new apps get stuck due to slow auto updates. To be able to solve this, you will need to turn off auto updates by tapping on the three dot icon found on the top right corner. Uncheck the box that says enable auto update. This will disable it and could possibly fix Play Store waiting download error or issue. Another way to disable auto update is by going to Play Store’s settings and tap on auto update apps and tap on Don’t auto update apps.

7. Check parental control settings- if you have enabled your parental control on Google Play Store, we suggest that you look into it. This could be one of the reasons why you cannot download apps. To do this, all you need to do is go to Play Store Settings. Tap on Parental Controls and turn it off or customize it.

8. Clear Play Store cache and data – clear your Play Store cache. If this does not solve the problem, you will need to clear your data for it. Do not worry as clearing your cache and data will not delete your installed apps or data on your phone, but, take note that it will log you out of Play Store. To clear your cache and data, you will need to do the following:

• Go to your phone’s Settings
• Select Apps & Notifications or installed apps or application manager
• Select Google Play Store under all apps
• Select Storage
• Tap on Clear cache
• Restart your phone
• If problem has not been solved, select clear data or storage instead.

9. Grant necessary permissions- there are some services that would need for you to give permission for it to work properly. To do this you will have to go to your phone’s settings. Then, select apps and notifications. Select Google Play Store and tap on app permissions. Select allow Storage permission.

10. Update Android system webview – Check if you pre-installed app, system webview is available for update. All you need to do is open your Google Play Store and search Android System WebView and tap on update.

11. Disable VPN- if you are using a VPN on your phone. The team at vpncheck.org suggests that you try to disable it for a while. Then, update and download the apps you wish to download.

12. Reset app preferences- some Android phones come with different settings which could have an effect on downloading Play Store such as data usage limits, background data and many more. If you do not have time to fix them one by one, you could just reset app

preferences and this will restore everything to default. If you are not comfortable with this, you could do the following steps:

• Go to your phone’s settings and then to Apps & notification or application manager.
• Open all apps.
• Tap on the three dot icon found on the top portion
• Select reset app preferences
• Confirm next screen

13. Uninstall Play Store and Play Services- there are times when it would automatically update in the background and there are also times when they don’t update as expected. If you encounter this, just go to your phone’s settings. Then go to Apps & Notifications and select Google Play Store. Tap on the three dot icon found on top right portion and select uninstall updates. Do the same for Play Services.

14. Install Play Store Manually- one of the reasons why the mentioned problem persists is that your Play Store could be buggy. Hence, you will need to install it manually by going back to the previous version.

15. Turn Off Bluetooth- Another possible reason for this problem is due to Bluetooth. Hence, try to turn off your Bluetooth and check if this solves the problem temporarily.

If nothing works, we suggest that you remove Google account from your phone. Take note though that this will delete all of your synced data on your phone.
