Moto X Force gets China 3C Certification, could be the worldwide version of the Droid Turbo 2

We here at Aptgadget have been keeping our eyes out for the Moto X Force. It is said to be on the way from Motorola, and the device will be one of the most shatter-resistant displays on the market featuring a Plastic OLED (or P-OLED) display. As we’ve said before, though, Motorola seems to have a habit of announcing Verizon-exclusive flagships in the US, only to rename them and also announce them worldwide. There’s currently some confusion about what Motorola is up to, with some saying that the Moto X Force and the Droid Turbo 2 are the same phone with different names for different regions: that is, the Droid Turbo 2 is for Verizon customers only in the US, with the “Moto X Force” label applying to the world outside the US.

Well, the latest news should encourage both Verizon Motorola customers and Chinese customers (if not worldwide Motorola fans). The Moto X Force has received 3C certification in China, with the model number XT-1581 being supplied for the upcoming smartphone. The XT-1581 model number differs from the XT-1585 model number we’ve seen that refers to the Droid Turbo 2, but it is close enough that it doesn’t seem to cause any problems for the Droid Turbo 2 US theory.

With that said, then, Droid Turbo owners and fans should rejoice because with worldwide certification, it looks as though the shatter-resistant smartphone will be announced sometime soon – with sources saying that the Moto X Force could be announced as soon as next week and arrive by month’s end.
