The Droid Turbo 2 (second-generation Droid Turbo device) from Motorola is on the way, and, despite the global certification and China certification we’ve seen, Motorola has yet to say anything. Well, despite Motorola’s desire to keep things under wraps until the reveal date, information continues to make its way across the Web. The latest concerns the first wallpaper for the new Droid Turbo 2 that has somehow managed to make its way into the hands of legitimate tech sources.
The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 looks to have a shatter-resistant display, and Motorola has shown that the Turbo series will get updates (unlike the company’s Moto X on carriers; the company recently decided to forgo updating the Moto X on carriers US Cellular, Sprint, and AT&T to Android Marshmallow). We’ve been told that the Droid Turbo 2 will likely feature Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box, although having Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board would be a nice touch.
The Droid Turbo 2 wallpaper has a resolution of 2880 x 2560 pixels, being designed for a device that will have an X-axis resolution of 1440 pixels (half that of 2,880 pixels). If you’re waiting for the Droid Turbo 2 to get an official announcement from Motorola, you can download the wallpaper at the link or just above it – and check our own coverage of the Droid Turbo 2 while you’re at it.
