Free icon packs to customize your Android

Functionality is important, but for many people, being able to personalize their mobile devices is also a key part of their Android experience. From changing the default wallpaper on your phone, to adding a complete new set of options with the help of launchers and widgets, icons and more, there are different ways to ensure that your device suits your specific preferences. It is possible to find many Android icon packs and with such a wide selection, selecting the right one for you can be challenging. We have prepared a selection of icon packs that are worth considering. Keep in mind that in order to use them, first you will need to install a launcher.

Once you have the launcher installed, you can proceed with the installation of the icon pack. Then you can apply it through the Settings dialog of the launcher. In some cases, a unique setup utility or app is included with the icon pack and it can be used to preview, update and modify the icons. Overall, the installation process is very simple and it is possible to change the default Android icon in only a few taps. Ikon

This icon pack focuses on simplicity and it has a great variety of icons with a round, badge design. In this option developed by BladeX Designs, you will find more than 1300 icons and there are additional ones being added on a regular basis. Ikon has many wallpapers that are perfect for its colorful style. It can be used with ADW, Go, Nova Launcher, Action, Holo, Apex Launcher and it also has support for Unicon.

Quadra

Created by Ryconography, Quadra is an appealing icon pack that features square icons with colored borders. While it is still in Beta version, it is a good options to try and it has over 500 icons available so far. It is ideal for Android 5 Lollipop and it includes its own dashboard app. Quadra works with Nova Launcher, Atom, Holo, Action Launcher, Unicon (root needed), ADW, Smart Launcher and Apex Launcher.

Bleach

Bleach by Vieuser apps is ideal for vintage-style themes and pastel wallpapers. It features sharp symbols, light color backgrounds and over 1000 icons, with the possibility of getting additional ones. Bleach also comes with 20 wallpapers that enhance its good looks. This icon pack supports Smart Launcher, Go, Aviate, Nova Launcher, Apex Launcher and other options.

CandyCons

CandyCons stands out from other icon packs thanks to its amusing and unique set of icons. There are over 600 options available, each of them have been created using a lot of detail. The variety of shapes and colors will add fun and creativity to your Android experience. The icons have some alternatives and you can switch them easily by just holding down and icon and selecting a different option from the popup dialog. CandyCons was created by Vukašin Anđelović and it supports over 20 launchers including Atom, Epic Launcher, Apex Launcher, Go and ADW.

Adastra

Adastra by Tomy Cadus stands out thanks to its colorful, detailed design. It includes almost 1200 icons in HD quality and they are designed to suit XXXHDPI screens perfectly. Adastra also supports Android versions from 2.3 Gingerbread and it comes with a wide selection of wallpapers. It can be used with Holo, Action, Aviate, Nova, Apex and other launchers.

Glim

Glim is one of the icon sets that feature a flat style. While some people don’t like this design, the fact that there are over 1500 free icons available, as well as a variety of high quality wallpapers should be enough to make Glim an option that deserves to be noted. There is a paid version that allows you to access 2000 alternative icons, meaning that it is possible to swap any icon with an alternative so that you can enjoy a truly unique experience. It supports Epic launcher, Go, KitKat Launcher, Nova Launcher, Atom, ADW, CyanogenMod Theme Engine, Nova Launcher and other options. Glim was created by Maximilian Keppeler.

Silhouette

Silhouette is an option that will appeal to your artistic side as it combines color, outlines and shadows to create the impression of an icon’s silhouette. There is a variety of launchers supported included Atom, Apex Launcher, Epic Launcher, KitKat, Nova, Smart, Solo Launcher and more. It was created by starkeDEV.

Voxel

With over 1900 square icons and a combination of bright colors and shadows, Voxel is another icon pack that you should keep in mind. The square icons can be arranged on your home screen so that you get an organized, tidy appearance. If an app icon is not available from the set, Voxel can mask it so that it fits into the theme. Voxel comes with a variety of wallpapers and you can request icons as well.

Moka

Linux users are likely to be familiar with Moka and now this popular icon theme is available for Android. There are hundreds of icons available and they are at their best when you use the pack with high resolution displays. There is also an icon masking option for unthemed icons, which makes the experience more consistent. Nova Launcher, Smart Launcher, Holo, ADW and Go are some of the launchers supported.

Subtle

As the name suggests, the icons in this set don’t have bright, rich colors, but that doesn’t mean that they are not attractive. They are very detailed and every icon has life of its own. There are more than 1300 options available and you also get access to a selection of HD wallpapers. Subtle was developed by BA Designs and it supports Apex Launcher, ADW and Nova Launcher.
