  • Restart your computer

  • Go to finder
  • Search Printers

  • Delete it
  • On the printers folder, select PPDs
  • Select Contents and Resources
  • Search for Epson printer model name
  • Delete all related Epson files
  • Go back to the finder and search for cache folder
  • Delete all folders with Epson in the folder name
  • Locate your Trash icon on your desktop
  • Permanently delete all your files and folders that you have deleted

Reinstall the Epson Printer Driver

  • Connect and turn on your Epson Printer and your PC
  • Go to the Epson official website
  • Select either Mac or Windows version of Epson Connect Printer Setup Utility
  • Accept terms and conditions
  • Follow the step-by-step instructions that will pop up
  • Create a new account and sign-in

Enable Epson Printer Sharing Option

  • Click on the Apple menu
  • Select system preferences
  • Select Sharing
  • Select printer sharing checkbox
  • Select Epson printer that you would like to share

  • Select start button
  • Select settings
  • Select Devices
  • Click Printers and scanners
  • Select Epson printer
  • Click Manage
  • Select Printer Properties
  • Click Sharing tab
  • Select Share this printer

  • Select settings on the print pop-up window where the filter failed error is displayed.
  • Go to settings
  • Select utility
  • Open printer utility
  • Click update
  • You will receive a communication error message. Do not worry just continue and select update until the message says it is ready or connected
  • Select print test page
  • click retry
  • If it does not work, create a new print job
