How to sign up for an Apple Music subscription
So you probably heard that Apple Music just launched today, and that it’s available right now on iOS and Desktop for the first three months, free; but what about after those three months, how do you sign up for a subscription?
It’s a relatively simple process!
Signing up for Apple Music
First, launch the Music app in iOS 8.4, and at the top left corner of the screen is the Account button. You’ll then see a Join Apple Music and in the same window you’ll be able to chose a name, nickname, and profile picture.
Although the service is free for the first three months, as we’ve already mentioned, you’ll still need to pick a plan that will automatically renew after the trial has ended (you can turn this off). An individual account costs $9.99 per month and is limited to a single user, whilst the $14.99 option gives access to up to six people in the family plan.
That’s it, you’re good to go. You’ll then be presented with a few screens that will enable you to customise your experience by selecting your favourite genre of music, as well as some of your preferred artists.
Cancelling Apple Music
Cancelling your auto-renew subscription is just as simple. From the Account window, go into View Apple ID and then scroll down to Manage.
You’ll see a flip switch to disable automatic renewal, and it’s as easy as that.
Enjoy your Apple Music subscription.
