HTC announced Desire 820s with 64 bit processor

We recently saw HTC 820 smartphone that was announced at IFA 2014 which is also known as one of the best upper mid-range smartphone because of its 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. Well HTC just announced an updated version of HTC 820 known as the HTC 820S that sports a better SOC than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 and uses the same 64-bit architecture.
HTC 820S was announced on HTC’s social website called Weibo which sports a 5.5 inch display that supports a resolution of 720P, MediaTek MT6752 SOC which is a 64-bit octa core processor which comes with 8 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.7GHz coupled with Mali T760 GPU which is known for its outstanding performance in graphics, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage space. HTC 820S also comes with a 13MP camera on the back while an 8MP camera at the front and also supports LTE and is equipped with BoomSound speakers. Basically the smartphone comes with all the same specs that the HTC 820 had with an exception of an updated SOC and GPU.
HTC still hasn’t announced the pricing on the new HTC 820S or the availability of the smartphone though we expect the smartphone to be available in the market of China and some other local markets. People who are looking for a phablet sized smartphone in an affordable price withh high end specs should consider going for the HTC 820 or the 820S. HTC is really trying hard to enter and capture the market with their smartphones, whether it’s their flagship HTC ONE line of smartphone or the HTC selfie centered Eye smartphones.
