It’s time for Microsoft to shine as from now on all the Nokia manufactured smartphones will have Microsoft branding on them. Microsoft will soon be announcing their Nokia manufactured smartphone and according to a leaked screen shot from Nokia’s supplier, it looks like Microsoft is prepping to introducing a high end smartphone soon.
According to the leaked screen shot a new Microsoft Lumia smartphone is going to be launched soon by the name Microsoft Lumia 940. It’s not confirmed though whether Microsoft have plans to launch this phone but judging from the spec sheet the smartphone is high end. Microsoft Lumia 940 will be equipped with a 5 inch screen that will support a resolution of 1920 x 1080P, we don’t know why Microsoft went ahead with using a FHD screen instead of QHD screen because under the hood there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 powering the Microsoft Lumia 940 that will be clocked at 2.7GHz. Now Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 is the top of the line SOC from Qualcomm which is made to handle a screen with extreme resolution.
The smartphone is also said to have 3GB of RAM, 32GB, 64GB or 128GB of storage space, 24MP camera on the back that can shoot 4k video while a 5MP camera at the front though the screen will be protected with Gorilla Glass 4 which has not been announced yet.
Microsoft Lumia 940 sure does looks impressive on the spec sheet but there is no news on when the smartphone is expected to launch. It will be running Windows 10 on it which let us to believe that the smartphone is not yet near to its launch days.
What do you think about Microsoft’s decision to avoid a QHD screen, would it make a difference when it comes to buying the smartphone?
