Motorola introduced new Moto X, Moto G and a Bluetooth earpiece accessory

Apart from the announcement of the long awaited Motorola’s Moto 360 smartwatch, Motorola announced few other devices too at its IFA event. Motorola showcased the new Moto X, Moto G and a Bluetooth earpiece accessory at the event.

Talking about the new Moto X first; Motorola did raise the bar of prices for its new smartphones but it also accompanies improved specs and slight new design changes. The new Moto X is now features a 5.2 inch display with 1080p resolution, a 2.5GHz Snapdragon processor and a 13MP camera that is also capable of shooting 4k video. The phone has an aluminum frame around it. Motorola said that the new Moto X will also get premium back covers made out of wood and leather. The new Moto X is priced at $500, higher than the previous one but considering the price tags of other smartphones in the same specs range, this one is still cheap.

Moto G

Moto G also got upsized with a 5 inch HD display. The phone now has two stereo speakers at the front an 8MP camera at the back and a 1.2MP front facing camera.  Moto G still misses the 4G LTE support as was the case with the previous version of the phone. Moto G is priced at $180, slightly higher than the predecessor but the specs of the new Moto G justifies the increase in price.

Moto Hint

Lastly, there is a new Motorola accessory by the name of Motorola Hint that pairs with the new Moto X. The earpiece accessory is just like any other Bluetooth receiver to receive calls or reject them except for the fact that this one is really small and does not feel awkwardly nerdy plus the addition of a touchpad for controls. Tapping on the touchpad will trigger a voice search to make a call or send out a command to the phone. This earpiece accessory will be available for $150 when it comes to the markets by the end of this year.
