Samsung Galaxy S6 to have three sided display

According to a new report published on Bloomberg, Samsung Galaxy S6 might feature a display that can be viewed from the left, right and front. According to the report, the design of the Galaxy S6 resembles to the design of Galaxy Note Edge which features two sided display with the right side display curved.

It looks like Samsung is finally going to spice things up in its next flagship smartphone by introducing something totally different than what the rest of the market holds. But, Samsung also has a backup plan if users don’t like the three sided wraparound display of Galaxy S6. As the report stated, Samsung is planning to launch two versions of Galaxy S6. The first version will feature a standard front display while the other version will have this three sided display. Bloomberg said that it got the information from sources which are directly related to this matter.

According to the sources, both phones will feature a full metal body, 5.1 inch screen and will be equipped with latest processors. Few leaked rumors and benchmark screenshots suggest that the device will have a 64 bit Samsung Exynos processor, 2K display resolution, 3GB RAM and 20MP rear camera.

Samsung’s dominance over the global smartphone market has taken a hit in both the high end and low end sector. In high end market, demand for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus has increased which resulted in Apple gaining 20 percent more market share than before while in the same duration, Samsung’s market share dropped from 30 percent to 20. In low end market, Samsung has lost its ground to various Chinese manufacturers like Xiaomi and Huawei.
