Apple to start manufacturing bigger iPads in early 2015

Bloomberg reports that Apple is going to start manufacturing larger iPads (with larger screens of course) in first quarter of 2015. According to the report published on the site, the company will start the production of 12.9 inch tablet during first quarter of 2015.
It’ been quite a while since people are criticizing Apple, especially Apple fanboys, that Apple is not following the market trend when it comes to bigger display smartphones and tablets. Apple did try to make it up to people by bringing in a 4.0 inch iPhone 5, breaking its 4 generation tradition of a 3.5 inch display iPhone. But by then, the market already moved to even bigger display smartphones (thanks to the success of Samsung Galaxy Note series and Xperia Z series.
Now, Apple is reportedly ready to announce its next generation iPhone 6 with the much needed display expansion in the form of two new models – a 4.7 inch and a 5.5 inch display model. Now, Apple has shifted its focus on introducing a bigger iPad as well in order to compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy Tab 12 and Microsoft Surface/Surface Pro tablets.
The report claims that an anonymous source said that Apple “has been working with suppliers for at least a year to develop a new range of larger touch-screen devices.” This is not the first time that there is a news about an Apple planning to go for a bigger iPad. Earlier rumor suggested that the large screen ‘iPad Pro’ is all set to release later this year or next year but it looks like the other way round.
Apart from a bigger display iPad in its lineup, it will also help Apple fill up the space created in the category of larger display tablets and will help Apple boost its sales of tablets.
