Get unlimited photo and video storage on iPhone 6s — and never worry about space again
Your iPhone 6s comes with 16GB of storage, and your iPhone 6s Plus comes with 32GB of storage, but you’re still running out of space some 4 months after picking up Apple’s latest “fruits” on the market. Apple has never been one to give much in the way of storage space, despite the fact that its staunchest rival, Samsung, has started offering 32GB of space on all its devices in the Galaxy S series. Additionally, Apple only gives 5GB of its iCloud Drive storage, which doesn’t help much, either. You find yourself drawn to the iPhone, though, with no intention of ever crossing over to Android, so you need to find additional storage space — and fast.
Fortunately, there is a way to get unlimited photo and video storage on iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus and never worry about space again. The solution? Google Photos. Once upon a time, Google required mobile users to join Google+ and gain access to its unlimited photo and video storage. Now, Google only mandates that you download Google Photos on iPhone, sign in with your Gmail username and password (you’ll need to get one if you don’t have one; you can do this on the Web or in the Google Photos app), and get going. To get unlimited photo storage and video storage on iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, Google Photos is all you need. You can find the Google+ Photos app available for free from the App Store on iOS.
There is one caveat to get unlimited photo and video storage on iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus: you’ll need to save all your photos in high resolution (but not original resolution). If your photos are in 1080p, for example, you’ll be fine, but anything over 1080p (such as the 1440p resolution on the Galaxy S6, Nexus 6P, or Galaxy Note 5, for example) will mandate you saving them in “high quality resolution” and not “original.” Other than that, enjoy your new unlimited photo and video storage on iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus!
