Last when we heard about Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 2 was way back in October, now some new rumors regarding the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 have started appearing on the internet. Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is also considered to a sequel to Xiaomi’s 5.5 phablet as Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is also said to be equipped with a 5.5 inch display.
According to the rumors Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is said to be equipped with a 5.5 inch display that will support a resolution of 1920 x 1080, either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor or MediaTek MT6752 SOC, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. The smartphone is also said to come with a 13MP camera on the back while a 5MP camera at the front and to power it all a 3000mAh battery.
The new rumored specs are way lower than what we heard back in October, according to which the smartphone had 3GB of RAM, 20.7MP camera on the back while an 8MP camera at the front. Some pictures of Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 2 back cover were also leaked showing that the camera is going to be on the top left side of the smartphone. The images also show no speaker grills on the smartphone which lets us to believe that Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 might come with front facing speakers.
The smartphone is said to launch in January in between the dates starting from 21st January to 28th January and will be sold for an affordable price as it’s from Xiaomi, a Chinese manufacturer which offers high end smartphones with an affordable price point.
The smartphone is also said to be running MIUI 6 interface on top of Android Kitkat 4.4.4 and might also be launched in India aside from its own country as every smartphone manufacturer is targeting India nowadays.
