The game is played by expanding your base and territories by attacking your enemies and sending your army to other places and continents. Not only do you need to attack, in this game, you will also need to defend your territories and base from your enemies or opponents who has the same objective as yours. 1. Axis and Allies

Axis and Allies was first published in 1981 and has about 19 editions up to date. It also offers an anniversary version which cost more than $600. If the price is a bit out of budget, we highly recommend the Europe 1940s edition. The game itself is a bit more complicated compared to RISK but it is still highly enjoyed by many gamers. The game could take about 15 to 30 minutes to setup and several hours to play the game.

It is designed with beautiful artwork and comes with organizing trays for its little pieces. This game is simple to play and it will take only about 15 to 20 minutes to prepare. The game would take about 90 minutes to play and could be played by any casual gamer at the same time provide challenge to hard core gamers.

7. Cyclades

Cyclades is a 90-minute game where the Gods of Olympus and Mythical Creatures would support you, in you being able to recruit your own troops, create fortresses, build ships and construct your own metropolises. This game will definitely provide you an amazing adventure full of mythological creatures and gods.

8. Blood Rage

Blood Rage is a game that allows its players to control their own Viking clan’s leader, ship and warriors. As the Ragnarok’s arrival signals the end of the world, it is the Vikings’ chance to secure their place. 12. Twilight Imperium

Twilight Imperium is an epic game which allows you to build your own empire and experience conflict, power struggle and trade. This game was released in 2013 and was declared as winner of Best Wargame by BGG Golden Geek 2013 and in 2014 as 2014’s Origins Awards Best Historical Board Game Winner.

1775: Rebellion is a sequel of 1821: The Invasion of Canada which was released in 2012. In the year 1775, American colonies had gathered arms and had formed a militia as an outrage to the new taxes imposed by the Americans. On the 18th of April, the members ambushed 700 British Redcoats and got their arms. 273 Soldiers were killed which led to the American Revolution.

The roles of the players of this game is to be in the American Continental Army and Patriots which is against the British Army and Loyalists. Each side’s goal is to be able to control all the colonies, provinces and territories. There are four divisions or factions of deck of cards which is used for moving units or soldiers into positions and custom dice are used for resolving battles. In this game you are allowed to control an entire colony, province or territory and even raise a flag. The game ends when Treaty of Paris is signed and the side that has the most flags will be declared as the winner.

14. Risk Europe

Risk Europe is a game about epic medieval battles and is considered as one of the best strategy board games. It was release in 2016 by Hasbro and it deserves to be mentioned in this list and article. In this game, each player is allowed to choose a capital for their base or kingdom and this will determine their strength and unique abilities. As a player, you will need to build castles and to do this, you will need to draw cards and each card will state the action you will need to do or carry out.

To win this game, you will need to be the first one to be able to control 7 crowns. For crowns to be in your possession, you will need to buy them or conquer them.

Risk Europe is something you will surely enjoy with its beautiful map, 4 armies, weapons, arrival of archers and knights. It also comes with 8 capital cities to choose from and has a very interesting theme and game mechanics.
