Apple TV was originally launched in 2007 and 4 generations have been made available throughout the history of this digital media player. The latest generation of Apple TV was released in 2015 and it is currently the main option supported. The original version of Apple TV is no longer working as it was declared as obsolete at the end of 2015. Apple TV 1
Although this Generation is no longer functional, it is worth checking what it offered. It was grey or silver and about 8-inch square. The processor was 1 GHz Intel “Crofton” Pentium M. It came with Nvidia GeForce Go 7300 with 64 MB of VRAM. It used 40 or 160 GB hard disk with USB 2.0.
Apple TV 2
Apple TV 2 was originally launched in 2010. It is black and about 4-inch square. It only offers 720p resolution.
