How to fix: can’t redownload songs purchased from iTunes

You may have experienced this issue in the past. In iTunes, a song may appear as “Purchased”, but you won’t get the option to redownload it. In addition, the purchased song doesn’t appear in your list of purchases. You are unable to download because the “Download” button is grayed out and the song shows as Purchased. Below you will see some options that will help you to fix the issue.

How to fix: can’t redownload songs purchased from iTunes

You may have experienced this issue in the past. In iTunes, a song may appear as “Purchased”, but you won’t get the option to redownload it. In addition, the purchased song doesn’t appear in your list of purchases. You are unable to download because the “Download” button is grayed out and the song shows as Purchased. Below you will see some options that will help you to fix the issue.

Method 1

1. Unhide hidden purchases and then launch iTunes on your computer
2. Go to iTunes store and sign in. Then select Account on Quick links, which is located on the right hand side.
3. Find iTunes in the cloud section and select “Hidden purchases”.
4. Go to Manager, select the “Unhidden” button to unhide any purchases.

Turn on View and then Show Music in the Cloud from the iTunes music section

Method 3

1. Launch iTunes on your computer
2. Go to iTunes, select Preferences and then Store.
3. Click the following boxes: “download pre-orders when available” and “show iTunes in the cloud purchases”.

Method 4

1. From Quick links, go to iTunes store and then select Purchased
2. Select “Not on this computer” on the other screen. You will see the songs that can be downloaded. You should see a button that says “Download All” on the lower-right corner of the screen.

Method 5

1. Launch iTunes on your computer
2. Locate the specific album with the songs that are missing.
3. Delete the album from the iTunes library and go to iTunes store.
4. Select the Home icon and on the right side bar, select Purchased, under Quick links.
5. Search the album or songs that are not appearing in the purchased list. Then click the cloud download icon that appears in the top right corner of the album image.
