HTC new flagship device named Hima to pack Snapdragon 810 and 5 inch 1080p screen
We have been hearing rumors about HTC which is said to be working on a new flagship device to be the successor to HTC ONE M8. A new leak came up saying that the successor to the HTC ONE M8 won’t be known as HTC ONE M9 but its rather codenamed HTC Hima. The smartphone will also be running the latest version of Android lollipop and the company might also launch a Windows version of the phone as well.
The rumor also said that the HTC Hima will be equipped with a 5 inch display that will support a resolution of 1920 x 1080, maybe that is why leaks started appearing about the company to launch a Windows version as well because 1920 x 1080 is supported by Windows. It is also said that HTC will also launch a max version of HTC Hima which will have a bigger screen at 5.5 inches and a higher resolution as well at 1440 x 2560 pixels.
Other specs includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SOC, 3GB of RAM, 20.7 MP camera on the back and to power it all a 2840mAh battery, but we don’t know why would HTC equip the smartphone with such high end hardware and limit its resolution to just FHD.
Leaks also points towards a new Sense UI as well known as HTC Sense UI 7 that has not been officially announced yet but its possible as with every new flagship device HTC updates their Sense UI as well. Its also good to see the company finally moving on from their low resolution ultrapixel camera to a much higher resolution camera as it was the only thing that HTC was lacking in.
