Disable Hardware Acceleration

Chrome

  • Open your Chrome
  • Copy and paste chrome://settings/ command to the clipboard
  • Press Enter
  • Select Advanced on the drop down menu
  • Select System
  • Deselect – Use hardware acceleration when available option
  • Click Relaunch button
  • Verify if the method work by launching the browser

Firefox

  • Open Firefox
  • Copy and paste about: preferences command into the clipboard
  • Press Enter
  • Deselect use recommended performance settings
  • Deselect use hardware acceleration when available option
  • Disable hardware acceleration on your PC
  • Refresh your webpage

Edge

  • Open Edge
  • Copy and paste edge://settings/profiles command
  • Press Enter
  • Navigate through the main menu
  • Select System
  • Deselect the use hardware acceleration when available option
  • Select the restart button
  • Navigate back to the main menu and system option
  • Check and ensure that the use hardware acceleration when available option is disabled.

After following the steps above, you will be able to watch Crunchyroll videos on your Microsoft Edge. Keep in mind, however, that your browser might not perform as it used to be. However, the only solution to this is by manually disabling or enabling the hardware acceleration.

Clear Browser Saved Form Data

Chrome

  • Open Chrome
  • Copy and paste chrome://settings/ into the clipboard
  • Press enter
  • Navigate through the main menu
  • Select Security and Privacy
  • Select clear browsing data
  • Select Advanced tab on the top menu of the pop-up layout
  • Under the All Time, select all options
  • Click on Clear data

Keep in mind that during the process of the method above, you will lose your saved password and history

Firefox

  • Open Firefox
  • Copy and paste about:preferences command
  • Press enter
  • Navigate through the main menu
  • Select Privacy and Security
  • Select cookies and site data (XMB) and Cache Web Content (XMB)
  • Click Clear Data
  • Click on Clear history at the bottom of the page
  • Click on the OK button on the new window

Edge

  • Open Edge
  • Copy and paste edge://settings/profiles command
  • Press Enter
  • Navigate through the main menu
  • Select Privacy, Search and Services
  • Select choose what to clear
  • Select options by selecting All Time in the time range
  • Click on Clear Now button

Remove Bad Extensions

Chrome

  • Open Chrome
  • Paste the command chrome://settings/ command
  • Press Enter
  • Navigate through the main menu
  • Select Security and Privacy
  • Under the safety check section click on the Check Now button
  • Wait for Chrome to scan
  • Disable all extensions manually by navigating through chrome://extensions/ section

Firefox

  • Open Firefox
  • Click on the three-dot menu found on the top right corner
  • On the drop-down menu, select help
  • Select Troubleshoot mode
  • Restart pop up will appear
  • Select open on the notification pop-up
  • Check if Crunchyroll is now playable

Edge:

  • Open Edge
  • Visit edge://extensions/
  • Disable all extensions
