How to check Apple warranty status – Mac, iPad, iPhone and iPod

When you buy an Apple product, you get one year limited warranty. All new purchases are covered and the warranty extends to a long list of devices including iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Apple TV, Wireless Mouse, Mac Mini, MacBook Pro, iMac, Airport express and more. 1. First you need to locate your Apple device serial number

One of the best methods is to go to Settings on your iOS device and select “About”.

Alternatively, you can connect your iOS device to your computer using a USB cable. Then launch iTunes and choose your device from the top right corner. You will be able to find your iPod and iPad serial number there.

Another option is to take a look at the original receipt or invoice. In some cases, the retailers include the serial number of your Apple product on the receipt.

2. Go to Apple service and support coverage page. You can use Safari or any other browser. You will see the expiration date of the iOS or Mac OS device Apple care.

3. The next step is to enter your Apple device’s serial number in the relevant box. Once you enter the hardware serial number, you will get a report a about the status of the warranty. The information includes valid purchase date, telephone technical support (whether it is active or expired) and repairs and service coverage (active or expired). If you bought a seconds hand Apple iPhone or iPad, you can use the report to find out the date when the device was originally purchased. If the coverage of the Apple device has expired, you can extend it through an Apple care plan.
