iPhone 6s rumored to release on September 25, 2015

According to a source, Apple is planning to release the next generation iPhone 6s on September 25, 2015. The rumor, which is still unconfirmed and is based on a leaked email, states that Apple’s next iPhone will release on the above mentioned date however it is not clear if there will be to 6s models pertaining to iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Interesting thing to note here is that Apple’s next generation mobile OS, the iOS 9, isn’t official yet and still there are rumors already about the upcoming iPhone 6s. As far as the ‘S’ version of iPhone is concerned, there have been quite a number of rumors circling around regarding its specs. Few rumors indicate that the new iPhone 6s will feature a 12MP camera and 2GB RAM along with other improvements, possibly a higher resolution display screen.

The email, quoted by the source, comes from a leaked internal communication between Vodafone UK staff in which the carrier is outlining the launch date of the upcoming iPhone to its employees. However, the email doesn’t mention specifically what the new iPhone is called. Maybe, Apple still hasn’t decided whether there will be two new 6s models (the regular 4.7inch iPhone 6s and 5.5inch iPhone 6s Plus) or just a single model with a different specs like the previous generations.

Traditionally, Apple has released its iPhones during the month of September. The last three iPhone models were launched on 21, 20 and 19 September respectively. Another important detail to note here is that Apple has previously launched iPhones on Fridays and the September 25th date is a Friday as well.
