The RPX ticket for adults would cost about 18.50 to 21 USD. IMAX on the other hand has an average price of 19.60 USD. Cinemark XD has 12.15 average price and Dolby Cinema has 17 to 20 average price. Though it is difficult to say that it is a good investment, this would depend where you live and if you have multiple options.
If you live in a small town which has only one theater and where it is located is quite far from you, for sure, it would be worthwhile to purchase expensive tickets.
However, upon comparing Regal Premium Experience with its competitor, IMAX, Regal Premium Experience falls short by a wide margin. For one, their screen is not as large as IMAX. Moreover, its sound quality is fifty-fifty depending on which theater you would be going to. Their leather chairs are squeaky. Though that is the case, their price is reasonable and is a bit lower compared to their competitor, IMAX.
If you will be watching a 3D film, then, you might choose RPX due to its removed seating and the immersion of the screen reaching out to its audience. Though that is the case, keep in mind, that, you will have to pay a higher price for it.
