“Linshof i8” Octa-Core smartphone to cost $380

A new German smartphone manufacturer is entering into the market with a smartphone named Linshof i8. According to the company Linshof i8 is designed for mid-range market but comes with high end specs. In terms of design the smartphone is quiet oddly shaped with its sharped edges but comes in a sleek form factor with brushed aluminum in either coffee or black color.

The smartphone is equipped with a 5 inch display that supports a resolution of 1920 x 1080P, an octa core processor that will be clocked at 2.0 GHz though it’s not mentioned which octa core the company is using, it might be the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 or the MediaTek MT6795 as both of them run at the mentioned speed. Other than that the smartphone is also equipped with 3GB of RAM, 8GB of storage space, 13MP camera on the back while an 8MP camera at the front and to power it all a 3100mAh battery.

Linshof i8 will be running accelerated Linshof UI on top of Android lollipop 5.0 while the company also said that the software made for Linshof i8 is very clean and simply as there are no added trialware and no in-phone advertisements. Users will be getting all that at a retail price of $380 with smartphone to launch in the first quarter of 2015.

Linshof does offer a good hardware given the 80GB storage space which is something that every user needs nowadays, but we have only seen rendered images for now as the company has yet to show us the physical model of the phone. Linshof is a new company and we barely know anything about it so there is no guarantee on how the company will do with their smartphone but we will know for sure when we will see an actual device.
